[STORY] EXPLORING PULAU UBIN

What I'm gonna share here is a self true experience encountered during my trip to Pulau Ubin for a cycling tour there during one of my younger days.

As young we are, we love to explore and have some adventure inside the forest of Pulau Ubin which includes bashing through the forest to see what's hidden inside there. The terrain was tough and difficult to pass through, we have to push our bicycles up slopes and cycle carefully down slopes and there were rocks and portruding roots on the ground that we have passed through which we loved, at least that's what we call adventure during young days.

Indeed, we found some abandoned houses in the midst of the forest, those houses were standing on sticks and the only access way up into the house is by a stairs but the stairs was destroyed due to corrosions of the wood that the stairs is made from. Out of sudden, I saw one of my friend who is standing next to me was staring into one of the house's window. I approached him and asked him what he saw and he told me that he saw a head was looking at him through the window. I was not freaked out at that moment because ever since long time ago, we knew that our this "special" friend is able to see those spiritual beings that we are unable to see ourselves.

Back to my friend, I looked into the same window as he is and saw nothing and quickly get him going on the way, finally we reached the beach, we relaxed there and really enjoyed the view, during that time, there was no fences built on the water at the beach, you can guess how long is that ago. After having some fun, we decided to head back to jetty to catch our last ferry, we followed through the same route that we took through the forest but after spending around 1 hour, we can't seemed to find our out to the road that leads to the jetty! We spent another around half hour to search for the way out but in vain! Tired and desperate as the sky is getting dark, we were practically cycling around in the forest fanatically!

To our great relieve! We come across a house which we can confirm that there are people staying in there judging from the livestocks they rear outside. Out came a lady who pointed the route for us and to our astonishment, the route she pointed is the route that we tried cycling around to find a way out but in vain. This time, we tried once again and carefully this time and finally we cycled all the way out to jetty~ We were all very puzzled as to what had happened to us..

After we left Pulau Ubin, we discussed among ourselves and were truly convinced that our eyes were covered by ghosts (in chinese "gui zhe yan") and causing us to miss our route out even if the route is just under our nose! We were so freaked out and goosebumps began to rise, we all never tried exploring the forest again.

It's a bad thing that you will explore some strange places which are now haunted and you still want some more! >.< In the end, you will regret of what you did! >.<

wow..haha..i never lost at forest..
but yeah..some people said jungle or forest it quite dangerous sometimes..
so must be more cautious..haha
interesting story though..
