[STORY] THE VEILED GHOST IN OUR TERRACE

Hi. Its been long before I submitted another story. My house here really gives me the creeps. Here's one of the paranormal experiences that I've been experiencing.

We have a very spacious terrace. It has a bed, an aircon, even a television. You could say a terrace that was made to be slept in. Yet, even though its the largest place in the house, it is seldom occupied. And I'm the one who is foolish enough to stay there. Its eerie feeling is felt even when you're just looking at it. One of the reasons why, especially at night, is it has windows all over the room. As in full of windows. Then, there is also a full body length mirror. One that is aged and normally categorize as an antique. And you know what they say about antiques...

Well... Now I've told you why its creepy. But that's not all. I was alone at home at a time. You say I feel thrill at the goosebumps. That's how foolish I am. It was about ten in the evening. I walked up the stairs though my instincts told me not to. There was a strange breeze that I could feel in the house. It was coming from the terrace. I thought it was weird because I was always depending on science then. And I knew that the wind was not suppose to be felt there. It was suppose to be felt in the other rooms. The back rooms not at front.

I decided to investigate. That was my mistake. I opened the door leading to the terrace. I stopped at my tracks. SHE was there. The veiled ghost. Humming a familiar native lullaby. I could not move. My mind told me it wasn't real. My mind was wrong. As if on cue, she turned to face me. She had no face! That's when I had energy to run to my room. I locked the door. Pulled up the covers and closed my eyes. I was shaking. I prayed hard then. Yet, there was that strange breeze again... And that lullaby... Louder and louder it gets. By now I knew the ghost was next to me. I would not open my eyes. It got louder. And I felt her breath upon my face. I lost consciousness.

When I woke up, it was morning. My grandmother was calling me. I recalled the events the night before. Passing it off as a nightmare. I was at the top of the stairs when I felt a breeze. I almost fell from running down the stairs. I could not tell my family. They would think its nonsense. Around the afternoon, I was buying from a store right next to us. The storekeeper asked what was I doing at the terrace last night. I could not speak. They would say I'm crazy. The storekeeper still spoke. She said "why are you wearing a veil last night? Were you role playing? I could see you singing in front of the mirror. You know that you could seen from the terrace." I ran inside the house.

From then on I would not go to the terrace without anyone. But sometimes at night, I could still feel the breeze and hear the humming...
